The short version
Exterior house painting in Geneva, IL often starts with wood repair, because older trim, sills and porches need sound wood before paint. We scrape, repair, prime and paint from late April into early October, and paint interiors all year, scheduled from our head office in Gilberts.
A river-town county seat with two eras of houses
Geneva has been the Kane County seat since 1836 and had 21,393 residents at the 2020 census. It sits on the Fox River between St. Charles and Batavia, and by 1900 Swedish immigrants made up half of its population. The town then grew rapidly again from the late 1980s through the mid-2000s, so a Geneva street can hold both century-old frame houses and much newer subdivisions.
Older frame houses get the most prep: soft wood replaced, loose paint scraped and every bare spot primed. Homes built before 1978 get a lead check before any scraping.

Geneva exteriors are booked into the earlier part of the fall window, since spots west of the Fox River can freeze before the city does. Wood repair is done first, then priming and paint.
