The short version
Exterior painting and fence staining in Shorewood, IL keep siding, trim and outdoor wood in good shape on homes built during the village's growth since the 1970s. We paint and stain from late April into October and paint interiors all year, scheduled from our Mecan Drive office in Naperville.
From a river sawmill to a growing village
Shorewood, in Troy Township in Will County, began with an 1834 sawmill on the DuPage River. It incorporated in 1957, and from the 1970s a residential boom followed access to I-55 and I-80, growing the village from 1,749 residents in 1970 to 18,186 at the 2020 census. Most of its homes therefore date from the last five decades, the age when siding, trim and outdoor wood need regular upkeep.
Fences and decks from those decades are usually on their second or third stain. We wash, dry and stain them before the wood starts to check.
